Escape the city and join us for a 3-night watercolour & wellness retreat just one hour from Berlin, at a beautiful Villa — a peaceful lakeside hideaway with pool, sauna, and nature all around.

This is more than a workshop — it’s a creative reset. A slow, nourishing weekend to paint, relax, and reconnect with your creativity. Think plein-air painting by the lake, guided watercolour sessions, delicious shared meals, and plenty of time to unwind, swim, or simply do nothing.

We’ll explore watercolour techniques like colour mixing, layering, and composition, while keeping things playful and pressure-free. All levels are welcome — whether you’re a complete beginner or already painting, you’ll be supported to develop your own style and enjoy the process.

Expect a small, intimate group, a warm and encouraging atmosphere, and a beautiful balance between creativity, wellness, and connection. On the final evening, we’ll celebrate with a cozy exhibition of everyone’s work — always a highlight of the weekend.

Perfect for anyone craving a digital detox, slow living, nature, and creative inspiration.

When: Arriving on Friday, 26.06, between 2 and 4 pm. The first class will start at 5 pm. Leaving on Monday, 29.06, between 11 and 2 PM as you prefer.

Where: The Villa is situated directly on Lake Kersdorf in Briesen, Mark, around 1 hour from Berlin by train. Super easy to reach with public transport. You will get the exact address and directions upon registration.

What's included: All guided watercolour workshops + 3 nights accommodation in comfortable shared double rooms (two single beds per room) with private bathrooms + Access to the pool, sauna, and tennis court + Full board catering (breakfast, lunch, and dinner).

### Imagined Gardens: Surrealism, watercolours and a lot of magic

Inspired by the lush energy of spring, we’ll reimagine nature in unexpected ways: flowers that whisper secrets, fruits that transform, creatures that bloom, and gardens where anything can happen.

What if plants could walk, dance, or speak? What if insects grew like fruit on branches? What strange and beautiful worlds are waiting in your imagination?

Through a series of playful exercises and creative games, we’ll unlock new ideas and ways of seeing. Then, step by step, you’ll learn watercolour techniques to bring your imagined garden to life as a unique illustration.

The workshop includes four classes, but you’re also welcome to join individual sessions (when available).

Urban Landscapes – A Watercolour Journey Through Cities and Nature

Join us for a beautiful workshop where we’ll explore the poetry of cities nestled in nature, as we paint urban landscapes filled with life, character, and architectural charm!

This July at The Berlin Art Club, we’ll immerse ourselves in the art of capturing houses, churches, skylines, and streetscapes that harmonise with their natural surroundings. Each week, we’ll visit a different region through our brushes — from the whitewashed homes and deep blues of the Greek islands to the rich textures and steeples of Western European towns, and finally to coastal cities where ocean and architecture meet in perfect balance.

Urban landscapes hold a unique beauty: the contrast of man-made structures softened by trees, water, and light creates a powerful subject to explore in watercolours. Painting homes and cities allows us to tell stories — of culture, memory, and daily life — while celebrating how architecture interacts with the world around it.

In our last class, we’ll take it all outdoors and paint en plein air in Friedrichshain, using what we’ve learned to capture the soul of Berlin through its buildings and atmosphere.
