The Hidden Life of Trees: Watercolour Workshop
Join us for a cozy, creative journey into The Hidden Life of Trees – not just the fascinating book by Peter Wohlleben, but the living world of trees around us. Each week, we’ll explore trees from different perspectives: from the delicate veins of a single leaf to the majestic forms of entire forests.
September is the perfect time to turn our eyes (and brushes) to the trees – just as they begin their stunning transformation into autumn. And what could be more inspiring than Berlin bathed in golden, amber, and crimson tones?
We'll observe trees up close and from afar, learning from their structure, colour, and quiet wisdom. (Did you know trees support each other through underground fungal networks – like a forest version of the internet? It’s amazing!)
Using watercolour, we’ll play with techniques like wet-on-wet, layering, gradients, flat washes, and the magical art of negative painting – a slightly tricky but wonderfully rewarding method for creating depth and light.
Whether you're a complete beginner or just curious to try something new, come connect with nature, colour, and creativity in this joyful exploration of trees and paint.
