Workshop: Matasano Crypto Challenges - Set 1

This will be the first of several practical-oriented meetups in breaking crypto.

We're going to be working on the Matasano Crypto Challenges (http://cryptopals.com/). The challenges are a set of practical exercises in detecting and breaking poorly-implemented crypto.

For this meetup, we'll be working on Set 1 (http://cryptopals.com/sets/1/). This is a simpler set focused on the basics (XOR, calling OpenSSL from the language of your choice, etc.)

Bring a computer, with the language of your choice that has OpenSSL development libraries installed. We're going to try to pair people up to make it less likely that someone gets stuck.

For this meetup, some basic programming is required, and though there is some basic math required, it's all explained. You don't need to be a programming wizard or a crypto wizard to participate.
