In view of the COVID19 pandemic, we are meeting online, using the Zoom teleconference system. To join the meeting, open a web browser and go to https://zoom.us/j/128960077 . Follow the directions to install the free Zoom software. Select "connect with Internet audio" to listen with your computer". You don't need to create an account.

Need to give better presentations at work, or give the toast at a wedding? Toastmasters offers a friendly place to practice speaking, and a structured set of projects to help you improve your speaking and leadership skills.

Our Toastmasters Club meets on 1st and 3rd Saturdays of the month in Watertown, Massachusetts. Visit our club website at WatertownSaturdayToastmasters.org (http://watertownsaturdaytoastmasters.org) for more information.

Please arrive at 8:45 am. Until 9 am, we set up the meeting and network. We start the meeting at 9:00 am, and continue until 10:45 am. When you enter Church of the Good Shepherd, walk downstairs and take a left. If you arrive late, just walk in and have a seat at any open spot.

Encourages each of us to add a new word to our vocabularies. Challenge us to use the new word spontaneously.

Scheduled Speeches
Club members give the speeches that they've scheduled and prepared in advance using the guidelines from one of the Toastmasters International communication manuals.

Table Topics
Our meeting's Topicsmaster provides our members and guests with an opportunity for demonstrating and honing their skills for impromptu speaking.

General Evaluator's Introduction
Introduces evaluation team members and evaluate the evaluators and the meeting in general.

Speech Evaluations
Club members provide helpful, supportive feedback to each of the scheduled speaker in a positive and friendly manner.

We usually have a convivial lunch at The Red Lentil. Hang around after the meeting for details.

In view of the current situation of the coronavirus pandemic, we are moving to virtual meetings on Zoom. We won't be meeting at our regular site in the Church of the Good Shepherd at Watertown.

Please join us for our regular Saturday meeting, held online with Zoom. Zoom is a teleconferencing service. You can join the video call with a computer, tablet, or phone, or dial in by phone for just the audio portion.

We’ll begin at 8:45. The meeting room will open at 8:30 to allow everyone time to get set up. If you’ve never used Zoom before, please allow an extra 15 minutes to get everything installed.

The page will prompt you to install or start the Zoom application. If the installation is unclear, there is detailed help for each kind of operating system and device at https://support.zoom.us/hc/en-us/categories/200101697

When the software starts, it will ask if you want to “call using Internet Audio”. It means, do you want to listen through your computer, or do you want to dial in by phone? If your computer audio is poor, using the phone is a nice choice.
