UPDATE: As of now, this trip is full. The deadline for final payment is August 26. You can call Globus (see phone number below) after that to see if there are any cancellations. You will need to also arrange your flight, either with Globus or on your own. Beth and I have already booked our flight on our own.
We've tried to do this trip twice and it was cancelled. Here is the latest info on this wonderful itinerary which includes 8 days on land and a 4 night cruise to the islands. This is a Globus Escape tour. Details https://www.globusjourneys.com/tour/greek-escape-plus-4-night-iconic-cruise/KGHX/?season=2022.
We would depart from Asheville on October 23, 2022, arriving Athens October 24. The tour begins October 25 and ends November 5. The prices below are based on double occupancy. Single supplements are available and are usually only $250. If you want travel protection from Globus, it is $199 additional. If you have an annual plan with another company like Allianz, you don't need it.
Twin Room $1,720.00
PRE-PAID GRATUITIES $66.00
Pre-Nights - 1 (TWIN) $71.00
Taxes/Port Charges $159.00
Airfare from Asheville through Globus is currently $1053 (yikes!) but I found multiple flights on Google Flights for under $800. You can put your $250 (per person) deposit down without booking the flight and we can see if the Globus airfare decreases as we get closer to departure. Temperatures should be very pleasant ranging from mid-70's during the day to high-50's at night (for Athens).
If you have specific questions, I'm working with Christine at Globus and her direct line is 303/[masked]. Tell her you are with Susan (my legal name) Mangieri. If you are seriously interested in this tour, please mark that you are going so we can get an idea of how many seats we'll need.
