About us
Welcome to Weavers of the Web, where we seek to create a space for the Lansing pagan community to learn from and connect with each other. Our aim is to provide the connection and social support that other mainstream faiths get from their churches, so that none need ever be alone.
Our regular event calendar includes discussion/teaching groups, Sabbat rituals, game and craft nights, psychic fairs, festivals and more. All levels and paths are welcome. Some events are donation-based, while others have a nominal fee. All funds go toward our operating expenses and our goal of purchasing property for a permanent Lansing pagan community temple.
During this time of social distancing, we are working on a variety of online options to keep our community connected and cared for. Our Wednesday night discussion groups are on Zoom with livestreaming on YouTube and recordings and handouts available to Patreon subscribers. We have informal social time before and after these events. Regular rituals are available in SecondLife on Sacred Cauldron, home of the Woolston-Steen Theological Seminary where our HPs Solinox Silverstar teaches. You can also join us on our Discord server for general community chat.
We are continually looking to improve our online offerings. If there's something you'd like to see, just let us know.

Weaving the Web: Tools
Weavers of the Web, ATC, 809 Center St #7, Lansing, MI, USJoin us in-person or online for our weekly Community Night: an open, cross-tradition discussion space where we learn, share, and build community together. We gather every Wednesday evening for discussion, meditation, ritual nights, and more, with time to socialize before and after.
Schedule:
We start at 6:00pm for casual social time, then at 6:30pm we begin the main discussion (and stream it live on YouTube). After the formal portion ends, we usually keep the Zoom call open a bit longer for chatting as folks head out. This week's topic: Tools
There are many tools commonly used in Wicca and witchcraft, including wands, athames, candles, crystals, incense, and herbs. Each has its own unique purpose and symbolism, with correspondences to color, deities, zodiac signs, elements, and more. Wands and Athames can be used to direct energy. Candles can be used just to “set the mood,” but they can also represent Deities or the Elements. A candle can even be the entire focus of a spell or ritual, being a physical form to represent and contain the magick, and then becoming a projective tool when burned to release the energy. Crystals are also commonly used in magick, whether as physical representations or for their own healing and other energetic qualities. Incense and herbs can be used to purify a space, to add energy to a working, or to aid in trance work.Format: discussion. You're welcome to participate as a skeptic, a master, or a curious seeker.
Join options (hybrid):
In-person: Weavers of the Web, ATC (Lansing)
Online: Join via Zoom for interaction, or via YouTube to watch
Can't make it live?
Secure recordings of discussions are available to Patreon subscribers at the Bobbin level and above (ritual recordings at the Balanced level and above.)What to bring (optional but helpful): a notebook, water, and a grounded body. If you're joining from home, set up a cozy ritual space (with candles, incense, etc.) so you can drop into the practice more easily.
