Details web applications that are JavaScript- and AJAX-heavy, DOM Ready and Page Load timings are not accurate metrics for evaluating the actual performance of the end-user experience.

We introduce a new metric, "user-ready time", that correlates more closely with how real users experience a web application. By following a scientific method of hypothesis, testing, and analysis, we have been able to strongly correlate our performance gains to key business metrics.
