Join us this Wednesday as people in the Web3 Melbourne community give presentations sharing some of the stuff they love or are involved in!
Simon and Johnathan from the Loki Project will be demonstrating the alpha release of Lokinet, a new onion routing network that utilises the blockchain as a self-regulating mechanism. Loki is a Melbourne grown privacy project aiming to create the worlds first decentralised, end to end encrypted, offline retrieval capable private messenger, as well as a next generation onion network and anonymous cryptocurrency.
Tom Nash will talk about Blocknative Assist, a simple code library used to immediately add usability enhancements to a dapp. He will demonstrate some of Assist's functionality, and show how it can be implemented in both current and future dapps. Assist is an embeddable widget that translates complex blockchain technology into clear, relatable, human terms.
Liam will be giving a five minute crash-course on MimbleWimble: an experimental blockchain protocol that allows zero-knowledge proof transactions in a more private, scalable and lightweight package than possible with other technologies. MimbleWimble has the potential to provide scaling opportunities for existing blockchains like Bitcoin & Ethereum, as well as be used to create entirely new privacy focused blockchains.
