During this MeetUp the topic is The role of Functional Programming (FP) in web-scale architecture. We have several sessions in which this topic is covered. During the breaks and after the sessions, there will be time to interact and discuss the information shared in the sessions.

06:00 pm - The MeetUp will start off with some pizza and drinks.
07:00 pm - Kick-off with an introduction of FP (basic principles and why it's getting more and more traction - including for building web-scale / reactive apps).
07:45 pm - coffee break
08:00 pm - A look at F# as one of the languages to use for FP (types and language constructs).
08:30 pm - coffee break
08:45 pm - A presentation about how to build reactive Microservices using a pipes-and-filters approach in F#.

Afterwards (and during the breaks) there will be room to interact.

We can keep going until 10:00 pm.

I hope to see you there!
