I started this group to help professional people who want an online presence for their business that works for them and to provide clarity on the steps that need to be taken in order to get there.
This workshop is for small businesses and freelancers who want to either refresh their website or build a new one, but don't know where to start. The workshop is to provide you with the basic understanding of what you need and why, and you will leave feeling confident about what you need to do next. We won't use jargon and in our workshops there is no such thing as a silly question.
I plan to schedule further workshops that will cover topics like how to measure your website statistics and analysis, what Google favours in a website, the importance of personas to help you define the desired user journey and which features and functionalities you need to have on your website in order to convert visitors into customers. There will also be a workshop that focuses solely on content, covering elements like defining your content strategy, simple techniques for keyword research, how to drive quality traffic to your website, defining the relevant calls to action for your business, and what needs to be done when preparing your images for web optimisation.
