An hour of free comedy in a micropub
Another hour of laughs at the smallest comedy club in the midlands. Again, it's completely free for all, comprised of four comedians and an MC. Oh and there's plenty of real ale, wine and a free buffet from celebrated local restaurant Jamrock. "Material that was formidable enough to earn him not one, not two, not three, not four, but five applause breaks over fifteen minutes" - not my words, but the words of Notts Comedy Review about PETE TECKMAN, Carol. This Northampton comedian - who won the Silver Stand Up award at Leicester Comedy Festival - is on our bill. RACHEL SAMBROOKS has written for BBC Radio 4 Extra's Newsjack and has been a semi-finalist for Old Comedian Of The Year, so we're delighted to have her own the roster. It doesn't stop there. We're having LIAM MITCHELL pop down all the way from Lincolnshire to deliver a gag-packed set. Finally, the self-styled Red Leicester Man DICK COUGHLAN is set to raise eyebrows with a fiery set. Your host for this comedy night is Wellingborough's CHRIS HARRIS - a comedian summed up as “a natural comedic talent and a great presence on stage" by My Student Style.

What we're about

Live comedy does exist in Wellingborough, and some of it is even intentional!
There are currently two monthly nights in the town...

* Chuckle Pit at the Horseshoe Inn
* Frank's Comedy Club at The Castle theatre

There are also two new comedy nights that may become regular - more details coming soon.

Plus big-name comedians put in occasional appearances down at the Castle.

Let's see what we can do to support live comedy!
