Session Abstract

Too often our software uses state of the art tools to monitor its logs but provides little or no feedback on the health of the business processes it supports. As a software professional, you wouldn’t consider writing software without unit tests and Application Performance Monitoring. We agree with Jacob Kaplan-Moss that “code without tests is broken as designed.” Yet for the most part, software professionals entirely neglect to automate monitoring of business processes or even to provide people with tools that would allow them to do it themselves. Our software monitors its own health proactively, but monitors its reason for being re-actively, if at all. Luckily, Azure Stream Analytics makes it simple and cheap to solve this problem. Come and learn what you need to know to use Azure Stream Analytics on your business processes. I will demonstrate some queries and show examples of anomaly detection using machine learning.
