How are you using Drupal - Developer, End-user, BA or PM etc?

I don't actually use Drupal, but I'm interested in understanding the technical requirements for running Drupal. I want to understand how to build the platform that Drupal runs on, and optimise the resources it requires (CPU, RAM, disk etc.)

What would you like to hear & talk about at the meetups?

Technical things. All the low-level database optimisation, memory usage, processor usage and threads . Also I'd like to get a high-level feel for Drupal and the user experience, being able to translate between high/low level stuff to understand more.

I'm Andy, I work as a network architect and engineer for an IT company.
