Can you believe it's already October? For our next Marketing Meetup event, I'll be hosting at Five + Dime (not the restaurant) and we'll be hearing from two growing businesses on how they've nurtured their brands from seedlings to glorious flora. Plus we'll be lucky enough to sample their wares! Spaces are limited so get in quick (and if you find later that you can't make it, release your spot for those on the waitlist).

Speaker #1: Grace Kreft, Sweet Bakery & Cakery

Grace is the owner of Sweet, a boutique bakery & cakery with two cake shops in Wellington, as well as an online business that makes cakes for birthdays, weddings, baby showers... basically any occasion that needs to be celebrated with cake (which is many!). Grace has always had a passion for baking and left her job as a lawyer to follow her dreams five years ago. Grace will share what she's learned about the power of branding and how she's told her story and connected with her tribe without having big budgets to play with. Plus she'll share some of her famous cupcakes!

Speaker #2: Warren Drahota, Double Vision Brewing

Warren is one of four owners of Double Vision, a beer company bringing their own unique twist to the New Zealand craft beer community. To really stand out now in craft beer, a company really has to have a few things sorted that will set them apart from the rest. There is a ton of competition out there and Double Vision has realised it takes more than "great beer" to make a difference in the industry. Warren will share how the team has come together to create a brand based on relationships, inclusion, community and quality in an effort to achieve customer loyalty in an un-loyal market. Come sample some beer and learn about how a company without big financial backing is trying to compete in an industry backed by suits.
