The Mighty Ukes & Wellington Ukulele Peace Network ❣️
Founded and run by Sophia Tara, The Mighty Ukes is a fun, friendly group of Ukulele Lovers who meet every week for koha Ukulele Tuesdays @ 7.00pm - 8.30pm at The Office Bar and Cafe, 124 Riddiford Street, Newtown, Wellington.
Open to everyone who loves to Uke and Sing. Absolute Beginners, Veteran Ukers and Ukulele Lovers from everywhere are warmly welcomed.
Free Entry and Weekly Ukulele Sessions. No annual subscriptions. Koha/donations gratefully accepted.
We use a projector and big screen for songs so just bring You & Uke.
Fun, laughter, joy are compulsory.
Open Mics are held last Tuesday of every month so you can strut your stuff.
We perform at Community Festivals with invitations to play gigs throughout the year and at Charity Events.
Visitors are warmly welcomed and we’ve had plenty throughout the years from all over New Zealand as well as passing travellers from USA, Australia, Hawaii, UK, Ireland, France, Germany, Holland, Spain, Portugal, Hungary, Switzerland, Argentina, Chile, Brazil, Venezuela, China, Japan, South Korea, Indonesia, Thailand etc.
We offer Beginners Ukulele Classes monthly if enough attendees, then beginners join our weekly Meetups.
We love to network and build happy fun communities.
