Dan Carne will tell us the story of how the WoodMeadow Trust, www.woodmeadowtrust.org.uk, was set up and of the successful creation of a 25 acre community woodland at Three Hagges Woodmeadow.

Dan Carne is the Woodmeadow Officer at the Woodmeadow Trust, a pioneering charity focused on creating and restoring woodmeadow habitat across the UK. The charity’s flagship site, Three Hagges Woodmeadow, is a thriving woodmeadow ecosystem established on formerly arable land near York. Dan is an ecologist and has worked in conservation land management and ecological consultancy.
