Lovely scenic walk going through the picturesque Darent Valley villages of Horton Kirby, Farningham, Eynsford and Shoreham. The walk is varied, taking in the riverside, as well as hop gardens, cornfields, a few climbs up onto the downland, with the added attraction of Roman remains, a majestic viaduct and a few historic houses on the way.
Picnic lunch with optional hot drinks/snacks at Lullingstone Visitors’ Centre:
NB If blind walkers find the walk too long, there is the option for participants to finish the walk early at Shoreham Station instead.
Please note that if attending, we will need your assistance to help guide the London Blind Ramblers along the route. Therefore there is no voluntary contribution for non-Rambler members for this walk.
Paid up members of the Ramblers are welcome on any of our walks, but we would encourage you to RSVP. This is to give our volunteer walk leaders an idea of how many are attending, and also to keep the numbers manageable. If, on the day of the walk, you are still on the waiting list and a Rambler, please let the walk leader know you are coming.
