    What we're about

**Note** We require all members to have a clear, current photo of themselves on their profile.

Just want to head out somewhere and grab a drink with some laid back people, check out a few bars you haven't been to before (or some you have), and not be pressured by all the extra stuff? This group is for you. Drink, maybe grab a bite to eat, and hang with us! This isn't a networking group nor a singles group nor anything else that specific. If you meet someone here or make a job connection, that's cool, but let's try to keep this laid back and drama-free and just have a good time!

**Note** This isn't something we should have to say, but we're gonna make it real clear: treat your fellow Bar Enthusiasts with respect. If you make a romantic connection with someone at one of our events, that's great, but that's not our goal here. If a member makes any inappropriate or overall unwelcome comment (or contact) at a meetup, we're reserving the right to ban that member from the group. If you're coming to this group trying to hook up with someone or "check out" people, you're in the wrong place. We're taking a zero tolerance approach to this from now on. There are far too many Meetup groups where these kinds of things are happening (mostly men acting inappropriately towards women, but it conceivably goes for all members), and we won't stand for it. Further more: DO NOT MESSAGE SOMEONE YOU HAVE NOT MET IN REAL LIFE. The only exceptions would be obvious situations where we (the organizers) message members about admin issues or if you are arranging a rideshare or something (but even then- start it in the comments section- don't just fire out messages to random people). Even messaging "hi" to someone you don't know is very creepy- don't do it.

Also- again we require all members to have a clear, current photo of themselves on their profile. If you do not adhere to this, you will be sent a warning, then removed from the group.

Please report any unsolicited, uncomfortable, or unwanted contact to one of the organizers (Dan, Eli, Clarissa, Lisa) via Meetup message or emailed to , or pull one of us aside if something happens at the Meetup event itself.
