What we're about
Develop your confidence and master the skills for speaking in front of an audience. West London Speakers is a friendly & diverse club and is part of Toastmasters International, a non-profit organisation.
When do we meet :
We meet every fortnight Monday (except Bank Holidays) from 07:15 pm to 09:15 pm to practice delivering speeches and speaking on impromptu topics.
We have returned to our local pub The Hop Poles 17/19 King Street Hammersmith W6 for our fortnightly meetings. Please check the event page for details.
Club Members & Guests :
Our club members are a mix of levels. We provide a supportive learning environment where club members use proven techniques to build confidence and skills in speaking and leadership.
Guests are most welcome to visit us and find out what happens in a club meeting. There is no fee to attend any of our meetings as a guest and absolutely no obligation to join. You can also join as many meetings as you want to as a guest.
Why Toastmasters :
While we can learn some tips and tricks about delivering speeches from watching talks or reading books, it is by practising and delivering speeches regularly that we learn to master the art of public speaking.
Toastmasters is the most efficient, supportive, enjoyable, and affordable way of gaining great communication skills. It is a 'Low-risk' environment where you can practise and master your speaking skills. Toastmasters will give you the skills and confidence you need to effectively express yourself in any situation.
