Harvest Moon Float

Details
The Harvest Moon welcomes back our fall full moon floats.
Veterans of the Full Moon Floats know that this is a very easy run. There is no need to spot as we will be on the backwater of Cascade Dam.
We paddle about an hour upstream to the I96 overpass and then float back down. Ambitious paddlers can go farther.
Though conditions for paddling are Class 1 with an almost undetectable current, the dark adds a class and the cold adds another. Safety equipment, water resistant clothing and a large dollop of common sense make the trip fun and safe. Bring a light or headlight, we usually don't fire them up in the moonlight, but it is needed on board. Everyone appreciates the red light option to make it easy on the night vision.
Paddles in at 7:30 pm - come at 7 pm or earlier to unload.
About weather conditions.....strong winds/rough weather/pelting snow and or rain will cause a cancellation. A light snow with little wind would be ok.
Hope for a clear sky or patchy cloud cover so we can enjoy the full moon!
