What we're about
Before joining please read our FAQ page to see if our group is what you are looking for.
We are a mixed group of friendly and enthusiastic walkers who meet every couple of weeks to explore West Norfolk and the North Norfolk Coast. Most of our walks are within easy reach of King's Lynn.
If you enjoy walking in this area, or are looking for a fun way to keep fit and meet some new friends in the process, this may be just the group for you! Everybody is welcome, even if you're only staying in the area for a little while but would like to go on a led walk.
Our walks are on Sundays and are around 16-19 km (10-12 miles - about 4 - 5 hours with stops), with regular shorter walks (8-11 km, 5-7 miles) and the scope to do longer summer hikes. We usually walk once a fortnight.
Our members come from all walks of life and are of all ages, so you can pretty much guarantee some interesting conversations, whilst taking in the scenery and getting some exercise!
The group is affiliated to Ramblers, but independent of them, and it costs nothing to join, but there will be a charge of £10 pear year (approx. 24 walks) to cover the cost of the Meetup subscription, Ramblers affiliation, insurance and advertising once you start actually coming to walks. As we run the subscription year from June to June to save on administration, if you join part way through the year you may be asked to pay a 'pro rata' amount. Any surplus at the end of the year will be donated to charity. New members can give us a 'trial run' with their first 3 walks being free. There is also the option of a £30 life membership for the truly committed!
