WordPress and SEO - April Meetup - West Orlando WordPress

One of the reasons WordPress became and remains so popular is due to its built-in search engine optimization (SEO) advantages. From the beginning, its blog archival structure has made it easy for search algorithms to determine what's new and its tagging and categories structure provides rich semantic structure to content. These strengths, if leveraged correctly, result in higher search engine result page (SERP) positions for WordPress sites over other CMSes and methods. In this Meetup, we'll cover: • WordPress SEO benefits • Configuration tips to maximize SEO benefits • Plugins that augment your SEO efforts • Your questions about WordPress and SEO A pre-meeting social begins at 5:30 pm in the bar on the first floor. The presentation begins at 6pm in the game room on the 2nd floor. Our goal is to have 20 or more people attend in April. Bring a friend. Thanks!

Coffee and WordPress Collaboration Meetup at Axum Coffee

This is a morning meeting on the first Friday of each month for collaboration and help with WordPress. We can ask questions of each other, discuss projects, or follow up from a prior meeting. This is meant to be a helpful and low key way to share knowledge and experiences. Here’s what you’ll need for an optimal experience: 1. Charge up and bring your laptop, logins, and notebook 2. Know that there are some WordPress issues that need more time to resolve. So, we may run out of time before your problem is fixed. 3. Money for a drink or food from Axum Coffee in return for letting us use their space to collaborate. There is plenty of free public parking in the parking garage at 160 S Boyd St, and it's just a one minute walk from parking to Axum Coffee. If there are a lot of attendees and the weather is good, we sometimes move our group to the patio seating behind Axum. Otherwise, just look for us inside. We'll be the ones talking loudly and wildly gesticulating as we discuss WordPress plugins, blogging, site management, online business, you name it. If there is lots of interest, we will be limiting the attendee and invited guest counts for RSVP so as to not overwhelm Axum’s space with too many people from just our group. A waiting list will be established once we reach the limit. Thanks! See you all there!
