About us
Central Florida WordPress is a community for anyone who uses WordPress, from beginners building their first site to experienced developers, business owners, and professionals growing online.
This meetup was formerly the West Orlando WordPress Meetup, originally founded by Rob Watson.
The group has now been officially handed off and is organized by Cory Keith, business owner, WordPress developer, and consultant, continuing its mission while expanding to serve the broader Central Florida area.
Our goal is simple:
To provide practical, real-world guidance on building, managing, and growing with WordPress.

Speed Up Your WordPress Website: Live Training + Free Q&A
·OnlineOnlineIs your WordPress website slower than it should be?
A slow website can frustrate visitors, hurt conversions, and make your business look less professional than it really is.
In this live Zoom class, we will walk through practical ways to speed up a WordPress website using both free and paid tools and techniques, including image optimization, page caching, object caching, CDN integration, and better hosting environments.
We will also look at third-party website speed testing tools so you can better understand whether your website is performing at an appropriate level.
About the Presenter: This presenter will be me, Cory! I am a WordPress website developer and the owner of my own full-time business, where I build professional WordPress websites for businesses and organizations. I have been passionate about computers, programming, websites, and technology ever since I was a kid, and I have been running my own business full-time since 2020 and have been using WordPress since 2016 and web developing since 2009! I enjoy helping people better understand their websites, improve their online presence, and make smarter technology decisions. I am also the main organizer of this Meetup group, along with other groups in the Orlando area, and I am excited to create a welcoming space where people can learn, ask questions, and grow their skills!
This event will follow a simple and helpful presentation format.
The first 30 to 45 minutes will be a live presentation on the featured topic.
After the presentation, we will open the meeting for a free Q&A session for the next 30 to 45 minutes.
All advice shared during the Zoom meeting will be free and open to attendees. The amount of time spent on each person’s question or website issue will depend on how many people attend and how many questions are submitted.
The goal is to provide as much practical value as possible while keeping the event helpful and fair for everyone.
This is a welcoming event for business owners, entrepreneurs, website managers, marketers, bloggers, and anyone who wants to better understand how to improve and manage their WordPress website.
You do not need to be a developer to attend. The presentation will be practical, beginner-friendly, and focused on real-world website improvements.
If you are looking for paid help with your website, including WordPress services, website speed optimization, troubleshooting, hosting, or a private consultation, please send me a private message here on Meetup. Or schedule a one-on-one consolation with me here: https://thirdoakproductions.com/cory
