ABOUT THE PRESENTATION
Websites need privacy policies and terms of use, but what should be in those policies? What procedures need to be in place to implement the policies? And what impact do your technical choices have on privacy considerations? In this presentation, Karen will provide an overview of privacy laws and discuss the technical best practices for implementing the legal requirements.

ABOUT THE PRESENTER
Karen Slongwhite Greene is a Florida-licensed attorney who loves to build WordPress websites. Her journey with WordPress started in 2013 when she started a personal blog about her knitting, crocheting, spinning, weaving, dyeing, and sewing projects. She started by picking a theme, customizing the appearance, and forgetting about it. In 2018, she became the Technology Chair for the Florida Tropical Weavers Guild and took over their website. This project led her deeper into WordPress, as she built it into a membership site and a registration portal for their 2021 Virtual Conference. Unlike many of you, she loves the block editor.
