The Business of Building WordPress Sites with Geno Quiroz

ABOUT THE PRESENTATION
We all get into the business of building WordPress websites for several different reasons. For some of us, it was a hobby; for others, a necessity, an accident, luck, and/or a childhood dream to run your own business. In this session, Geno will discuss the different phases of WordPress businesses he has gone through, such as building WordPress websites, offering digital marketing services, building WordPress products, running a multi-vendor marketplace for WordPress product developers, offering white label website design and development services, and being a monthly maintenance and hosting service provider. He will also touch on some of the basics of getting started as a WordPress website-building business. And lastly, he will talk about finding contentment in your current lane, whatever that lane is. He'll throw in plenty of “What would I have done differently” and “Tips’' for each of those subtopics in “Different types of WordPress Businesses”.

ABOUT THE PRESENTER
Geno is a recognized online business strategist, an authority on the Divi Page Builder framework by Elegant Themes, a co-founder of ElegantMarketplace and DiviChat, and a pioneer in the Divi Product Ecosystem.

In 2012 Geno launched his first consultancy helping businesses and nonprofits become more efficient and effective in their back-office processes and systems. In 2014 he launched the Divi Tutorials Blog on Quiroz.co and began consulting other web designers and developers on mastering the Divi Theme Framework. In 2015, Geno founded Monterey Premier; a Web Design & Development Agency.

Geno is also the President of the Marina Chamber of Commerce. He is husband to Vivien Quiroz and is passionate about Jesus, family, and building community. When not doing any of the above, you can find Geno blogging on a number of websites and managing his Divi Community Facebook Group, currently at over 16.2k members, and the Marina Community FB group, one of his local projects.
