We live in Montrose and we have lived on the western slope for 6 years. We came from northern Arizona. (Prescott) We found out about WSA thru Paul Sheya.
Hiking, camping, river rafting, jeeping, outdoor concerts, hotsprings, cross-country skiing, and snorkeling!
We enjoyed biking the 32 mile Glenwood canyon trail. Climbing to the top of Mt. Sneffles in the San Juan range was AWESOME! Most challenging hike was probably the Kalalau trail on the Napali coast of Kauai or hiking Grand Canyon. Rafting the Colorado River in Grand Canyon is definitely the most challenging river we've ever done.
Most scenic place we've slept in a tent? Wow, that's a hard one. Havasupai (Grand Canyon), Playa Ballena Beach in Costa Rica, or the beach in Baja , Mexico. Our favorite playground is the San Juan Mountains.
We like riding bikes, but not extreme mtn. biking. We do downhill ski some, but prefer cross-country.
We are John and Marti who met in 2001 on a river trip in Moab's Cataract Canyon. We moved to Ridgway in 2006 and got married on Ispiration Point on Log Hill. We love the outdoors and we love living on the western slope of Colorado!
Always fun to meet new people in the great outdoors!
