Where on the Western Slope do you live? how long have you been there? Where did you come here from? How did you learn about the WSA group and why did you join? Do you plan to be an "Active" member or is WSA just one more web registration for you?

I lived in GJ for 18 years, went to Gunnison for 6, returned in June 2012. I learned about the group from a coworker after leaving my mountains and realizing I was lost in the desert. Since then I've become more comfortable in the desert, and choosing an activity on any given day can be a challenge sometimes.

How and about what time in life did you get started with outdoor recreation? What are a few of your favorite outdoor activities?

Dad took me hunting when I was 13 and I learned about 14ers in the first month of college. I enjoy hiking, mountain biking, backpacking, camping, climbing on rock and ice, xc skiing, and would like to skydive.

What is the most challenging hike, bike, backpack, 14er, canyoneering, ski/snowshoe, river trip or other outing you've ever done? How or why was that; and, would you do that or something similar again?

One of my most challenging trips was backpacking into Chicago Basin via Purgatory TH and summitting a 14er, Windom Peak. It was around 40 miles in three days.

Where is the most scenic place you have ever slept in a tent, walked or biked on a trail or travelled by paddle or oar down a river?

Backpacking Four Pass Loop in the Maroon Bells Wilderness was the most scenic hike I've done.

After you've been on a few events with us, what kind of event might you be willing to to initiate and share with fellow WSA adventurers? Organize a hike? road or mtn bike ride? an evening on the river? a ski or snowshoe on Grand Mesa? Or... ?

I have far more to learn from this club than I can teach, but I will host hiking and biking trips. Maybe ski trips.

The outdoors are a playground. What do you want to do? Let's go!
