Where on the Western Slope do you live? how long have you been there? Where did you come here from? How did you learn about the WSA group and why did you join? Do you plan to be an "Active" member or is WSA just one more web registration for you?

I live in Grand Junction. Moved here from Boston in 2010. Saw the group online when doing a search for area hikes and I was intrigued by the promise of adventure!

How and about what time in life did you get started with outdoor recreation? What are a few of your favorite outdoor activities?

I really didn't get into "The Great Outdoors", as I am now, until I moved to beautiful Colorado. I enjoy scenic drives, hiking, Fourteeners, camping, backpacking, kayaking, snowshoeing, XC skiing, cruising on my bike, and other social gatherings, and I am looking forward to many more new and exciting activities!

What is the most challenging hike, bike, backpack, 14er, canyoneering, ski/snowshoe, river trip or other outing you've ever done? How or why was that; and, would you do that or something similar again?

I have loved hiking/climbing Fourteeners. Wetterhorn Peak and the SW Ridge route up Mt. Sneffels were (so far) the most challenging to me, solid Class 3 peaks. An injury and other events have put such things on hold for a while, but I’m hoping 2018 will bring more good things for me!

Where is the most scenic place you have ever slept in a tent, walked or biked on a trail or travelled by paddle or oar down a river?

Ice Lakes Basin in mid-to-late July, hands down. And climbing to the top of the 13er Golden Horn above Ice Lake was SPECTACULAR.

After you've been on a few events with us, what kind of event might you be willing to to initiate and share with fellow WSA adventurers? Organize a hike? road or mtn bike ride? an evening on the river? a ski or snowshoe on Grand Mesa? Or... ?

I've been on a few events now, LOL. I am a very outgoing person and I’ve really enjoyed bringing all types of people together to experience beautiful places, especially in the mountains. Winter, spring, summer, and fall. Hopefully I’ll be returning to do more in the coming year!
