Do you have a fear of heights, a fear of water or a fear of enclosed spaces, or a fear of all three !! Would you like to try expand your comfort zone by overcoming these fears? by Maning – Up / Womaning – Up or Non-binarying – Up :-) Its long been known that facing fears through participation in adventure sports expands your comfort zone, building confidence, self belief and increasing self esteem which automatically transfers across into other areas of your life and its a lot of fun too. If there is enough interest I will set up a few events over the summer to facilitate those who would like to challenge themselves through adventure sports. Please note the date is not a real date and is just set for a random date in August, if there is sufficient interest I will set up an event date much sooner probably a Saturday in June or July The events are aimed at total beginners and no experience of any kind is needed If you are interested just click attending or drop me a message and if there is enough interest I will set it up Events would take place in the Wicklow mountains or other Dublin locations, maybe some evening sessions or some full days out. Participants would undergo a number of challenges based on over-coming their fears of heights, water, enclosed spaces or other fears. The challenges will range from easy to difficult with each participant making their own decision on the difficulty of challenge they wish to undertake. The challenges will be safely supervised by professionally qualified and experienced hot** instructors, the level of actual danger would be very low, the aim of each challenge is to help each participant to master their fear, **( Note, safety and professionalism are guaranteed, instructor hotness is not). An example of a challenge would be for someone with a fear of heights to complete an abseil under instruction. The cost could range from €30 to €40 pp for a full day out, depending on numbers, instructor ratios for these kind of events are usually 4 or 5:1 so there would be overheads. The events would be open to all but are specifically aimed at LBGTQ+ W&W members wishing to challenge themselves by facing some of their fears. You don't need to be able to swim or need any special equipment. Not been to a Wet and Wild event before? Wet & Wild is an LGBTQ+ outdoor pursuits and social club based in Ireland.
