Lunch @ Ave. Eats!
Please join us Saturday, Dec. 8, at 1:00 PM for lunch at Wheeling’s very own Avenue Eats! Enjoy choices such as a vegan teriyaki tempeh taco or a vegetarian black bean burger at this cozy cafe. In addition, tempeh can be substituted for meat on any sandwich at no extra charge! *We would like to remind group members that Ave. Eats is a very small restaurant, so every seat counts. If you need to change or cancel your RSVP, please, please, PLEASE do so as early as possible so we have the correct number of seats reserved for us. Thanks!* (Since this is the time of year when the weather may get a little tricky, if severe weather cancels the Meetup it will be communicated to members via email.) (Avenue Eats is conveniently located in the Washington Ave. area—right across the street from Wheeling Coffee Shoppe. For more info including directions, please visit .)

    What we're about

We are a group of local Vegetarians and Vegans who enjoy getting together. About once a month we meet to enjoy delicious food and talk about our lives, our diets, and our families. We have also held information booths at public events, and the responses have been overwhelmingly positive. We've gone on "field trips" to a Vegan restaurant in the Akron area, and celebrated World Vegetarian Day a bit late with a potluck. More recently we've held several health topic nights at the Ohio County Library, run a coffee hut in Cambridge to benefit an animal rescue, and helped prep a new health food store for opening.

As you can see, we're a pretty active group and we're always looking for new ways to get involved in our community. That being said, please don't feel like you have to be at every single event. Feel free to come as often or as little as you are able.

Families and friends are welcome at our events. The general feeling is the more the merrier. We've been asked "do I (and/or my significant other/friend) have to be vegan or vegetarian to attend?". No, we're open to anyone interested in the veggie-lifestyle, but we do ask that you follow a vegetarian diet at our meetings.

We look forward to meeting you!
