What we're about

Most of our Meetup activities support non-profit organizations, whether historic or arts-related.

Whimsicalidocious (https://www.whimsicalidocious.org) is the federally recognized 501(c)(3) nonprofit run by the Academy of Omniosophical Arts & Sciences (https://www.omniocademy.com), with programs designed to curate and cultivate the genteel arts, supporting and promoting all manner of artists, crafters, artisans, and other creatives, with an emphasis on literacy advocacy and cultural connectivity.

Our long-term goal is to have a brick & mortar home where artists and patrons can share their talents and interests. Currently, our Meetup group hosts a weekly author “write-in” in SoCal.(Corporate name: Whimsicalitea; Federal Tax ID number: 81-5396395)

Pirate Picnic - Shared Treasure Hunt kickoff

Needs a location

Come lift a cup of bilge water punch, bellow a sea shanty, and carouse with abandon as we celebrate the inaugural kickoff of Shared Treasure Hunt, a kids-helping-kids philanthropy program.

It's a free BYO victuals and seat affair at the park beside picturesque Mother's Beach in Long Beach. We'll supply a celebratory cake, games & activities, and the odd pirate insult. We've even been warned that a local group of Golden Age privateers intends to raid the proceedings!

To sign up for the picnic, simply email [masked] with the names of those in your party as well as the ages of any minors. (Attendees must be on the guest list prior to party day to keep things semi safe and sane)

Suggested dress is as piratical as you can muster!
Reasonably priced metered parking in on-site lot. Some free street parking. Lots of restrooms steps from our spot on the grass

With thanks as deep as the sea,
Joy
