Brahma Vihara - Mudita (Appreciative Joy)
with Whispering Deer
Appreciative joy is the mature expression of the awakened heart. It is the capacity to rejoice in the happiness and good fortune of others. Through this practice we learn that happiness doesn’t diminish when we share it, rather it multiplies. It increases our capacity for empathy. It is a heart that has lightness and simplicity in it. Appreciative joy brings unfettered joy in just being. Can we let go of our protective armor and survival tactics? And then watch the magic happen. Come and join us in breaking down the boundaries of separation that keep us isolated and alienated, and instead, experience a sense of wholeness, collectedness, and connection.
Donation welcome.
About Whispering Deer
Meditation is my primary spiritual practice. Each year, I spend 8 weeks in silence, working with various meditation techniques, accessing deep states of consciousness and expanded awareness. This work has led me to experience the transformative power of the awakened heart, resulting in the development of the Brahma Vihara workshops. The benefits I have received are innumerable and immeasurable. Nothing would please me more than to share what I have learned with others.
