What we're about

This is a group for women interested in daring greatly, living wholeheartedly and being a member of a courageous, compassionate and connected community. Come explore Brené Brown's key elements to living a wholehearted life, as outlined in her book, "The Gifts of Imperfection: Let Go of Who You Think You're Supposed to Be and Embrace Who You Are"

We will meet once a month in the downtown area of Colorado Springs. Our goal is to practice what it means to embrace our imperfections and live from a place of internal worthiness. We will discuss Brené Brown's 10 Guideposts for Wholehearted Living, and create a community based on the shared values of trust, compassion, connection and laughter.

Who can join the meetup?

Although the meetings will be held in Colorado Springs, women from all over can join this meetup. All members will receive inspiration for the posts and can read along in the book as we explore the guidepost. Eventually, I would love to include a Teleconference Meeting for those out of town. You just have to sign up to let me know there is interest, even though you cannot attend the monthly meeting.

Our monthly meetings will have a limited number of attendees to enhance trust, vulnerability and growth. As our Meetup group grows in numbers, we will add another monthly meeting date and time, so more women can be a part of this wholehearted experience.

Cultivating a Resilient Spirit: Letting Go of Numbing & Powerlessness

Dale's office - Conference Room

Note: We have to meet on the 2nd Thursday of the month of June. I will be at a conference on the 1st Thursday. Ever wonder why some people can cope with stress and trauma in a way that allows them to move forward with their life and why other people appear more affected and stuck? The good news is that all of us can learned to live Wholehearted lives even when there is turmoil and adversity. It starts with leaning to be mindful, present and authentic even when things are not going our way. We’ll look at how to build resilience and hopefulness – even when we feel powerless and just want to take the edge off. I hope you’ll join in this rich and authentic discussion. And oh yes… we will be discovering all those little things we do to numb and not bravely.
