Cultivating Laughter, Song & Dance: Letting Go of Being Cool & "In Control"

Details

THIS IS THE ONLY MEETUP THIS MONTH (No daytime meetup)

I didn't know if the idea of the party scared you all away or if it's just the busyness of the season. So if you want to come - please sign up. I will conduct it as a regular Meetup with some holiday cheer!

December... the month of parties, celebrations and gatherings! Time to sing, laugh and dance out our joy.... or miss out on the fun because we are to worried about looking good and being in control.

If "a good belly laugh, singing at the top of your lungs, and dancing like no one is looking are unquestionably good for the soul", what gets in the way? Well of course - it's our good friend, VULNERABILITY! Our shame gremlins are constantly there to make sure that self-expression (singing, laughing, dancing...to name a few) take a backseat to self-protection and self-consciousness. We miss out on so much of life trying to be cool and in control.

I say December is the time to practice letting our hearts sing, our joy burst forward and our feet move & groove to the beat! So join me for this festive Meetup! In an effort to start letting go of being cool & in control - feel free to wear something uncool! don't care if it's an Christmas ugly sweater, Rudolph nose or antlers. Just let go of being cool. We don't want to miss out this holiday season and what a great way of living wholehearted as we move into a new year!

"The Gifts of Imperfection" by Brené Brown, Guidepost #10 (pages 117- 124)

Cost: $10 Space is limited to the first 20 who RSVP, so if something comes up and you can't attend, please take your name off the registered list so others can attend. Also, if the meetup is full, please put your name on the wait list. A few people usually cancel each month as the date gets closer. Payment taken at the door. Hope to see you there!

Light refreshments, coffee, hot tea and water are provided.

We will be gaining new awareness from others and picking up tools along the way. As we journey together, we support and honor each other through respect and non-judgement. I encourage you to pick up the book, "The Gifts of Imperfection" by Brené Brown, and read this section before our meeting so that you have plenty of time to reflect, and are prepared to share your thoughts and insights on the chapter. This is NOT necessary to attend!

Hope to see you soon!
