On March 16, 2013 the Irish Historic Association will have their 7th annual St. Patrick's parade at noon. It starts at Douglas Ave. from the Arkansas River to Walnut Ave. I was thinking this would be a great way to promote Pug Rescue. We could be part of the parade. We don't have to do anything fancy. The simplest is to have pugs walk or ride in wagons and we could carry signs (I can supply) about our rescues. We can dress the pugs in green or any costumes:-) We could get fancy if anyone had a flat bed trailer..hint hint. But it is not necessary. I have done a dozen parades in Illinois & Wisconsin with the anti puppy mill groups. One of my groups has a convertible Chevy that a local celebrity puppy mill dog rides in with her owner, very cute! This parade last year had 10,000 attendees. If you are interested in doing the parade, please let me know ASAP. I need to know no later than March 6th, the application must be in by March 9. If you have any suggestions, ideas, equipment, i.e. flatbed, please let me know. Invite friends as well!

"I am involved in dog rescue: my wallet and gas tank are always running on empty, my house is never quiet and free of dog hair, nor is my car, my inbox is full of ongoing despair and misery, but my heart and soul are replenished with unconditional love, loyalty, and joy that can only come from a rescued dog!" ~ Author Unknown
