The Independent Real Estate Investor's 2026 Playbook — Free 4-Week Online Series
·OnlineOnlineInvestors across Kansas — if you're trying to figure out what still works in this market, you're not the only one.
Low inventory, but low demand. High prices and high interest rates. Rising operating expenses and rents that aren't always keeping pace.
If today's real estate market has you wondering what still works, you aren't the only one.
MAREI invites you to a free four-week online series featuring experienced, active investors who are finding deals, funding acquisitions, and creating cash flow in the market we actually have — not the one we wish we had.
One registration gets you all four weeks:
Sept 14 — The 2026–2027 Market Forecast, and What It Means to Your Wealth Vena Jones-Cox separates the information that matters to independent investors from the headlines aimed at homeowners and institutions.
Sept 21 — The Best Ways to Find Deals in the Strangled 2026 Market Kathy Kennebrook, David Randolph, Damon Remy, and Sri Gan compare direct mail, foreclosures, defaulted notes, and online marketing.
Sept 28 — The Best Ways to Fund Deals Unconventionally Anita Johnson, Lindsey Jensen, Vena Jones-Cox, and John Bowens discuss wraps, master leases, partnerships, retirement accounts, and other people's money.
Oct 5 — Alternative Strategies for Creating More Cash Flow Tiffani Ray, Barukh Rhodes, Jay Redding, and Todd VanMeter explore shared housing, small apartments, owner-financed sales, and passive investment in other people's deals.
What you'll walk away with A clear read on where the 2026–2027 market is actually headed, several real ways investors are sourcing deals right now, more than one way to fund or control a property without a conventional bank loan, and a look at cash-flow models beyond the standard single-family rental.
Who this is for Active and aspiring independent investors — people buying to flip, buying to hold, or lending — who want candid, practical discussion from people doing the work.
Who this is NOT for Anyone looking for a get-rich-quick pitch or a course sale. These are real discussions, not webinars built to sell you something at the end.
Logistics Four Mondays, Sept 14 – Oct 5, 2026 · 6:30–8:00 p.m. Central (7:30–9:00 ET) · Online via Zoom.
Attend one session or all four. Attend live to ask questions; recordings go to registrants for one week after each class.
Pricing Free and open to the public.
Registration You must register to get your seat and Zoom link — register free at MAREI.org/Calendar. (Signing up on Meetup does not register you for the class.)1 attendee
