Wild Wild Women Walkabout is about general walking and/or taking "ordinary" women on journeys of self discovery, training them for unique treks and uncovering the "extraordinary" women in us.I’m always pleased to have more women join us on Wild Women Walkabout, we love it when our group grows.Basically I encourage women to get out there and walk. Hopefully motivating those who are sitting around "thinking about doing it" to actually “doing it” .... to step outside their comfort zone.We currently have women in our group aged 35-64. Some are very fit, others not so fit. So a varied group.Joining Wild Women Walkabout can be as simple as becoming part of our weekly walking groups only, or as focused as training up for our next major trek, overseas, or within Australia.Do we "rough it" on these big treks ... NO WAY. We only go on treks that offer some "trek pampering" - no carrying of heavy backpacks, no putting up tents or cooking!Our weekly walks are every Saturday and Wednesday, plus every second Sunday, starting around sunrise and walking for 1.5 - 2 and hours. Sometimes going for brekky or coffee afterwards.Wednesday may be a morning or afternoon walk, depending on my work commitments.The Sunday walks are longer sessions of around 3 hours, so that those wanting to do the international treks can maintain their fitness and/or build on fitness for our next overseas trek.It's not meant to be all hard work ... in fact it's meant to be fun and social as much as anything.I send out a Meetup and WhatsApp message to enrolled members each week, with details of the next walk and to check who's coming along.
