Welcome to the first Global Travel Social of 2020. These monthly gatherings are the place for travelers and travel dreamers to come together. Share a story or two from your past global explorations. Or ask questions from travelers that have been to a country you are planning to visit in 2020. This group is filled with travelers that have been to amazing destinations all around the world.
New to this group? Don't worry - this is a welcoming and friendly group of travelers. Some members have been around the world, others are preparing to get the first stamp in their passport. There is no formal agenda for our monthly Global Travel social, just great conversation about travel around the world!
This is a free monthly event. However, all attendees are asked to donate $3 to cover meetup expenses. Attendance does matter at our events. Please only sign up if you plan to attend (be sure to put it on your calendar!) If something comes up, and you can no longer make it, change your RSVP on the meetup.com website. Our group is large, and in order to have good relationships with our venues, it is important that we have an accurate headcount.
Also, please support our venue by ordering food and/or drink. This month we will be at Lucky Lab in North Portland on KILLINGSWORTH. To find our group, look for the meetup signs. Be sure to check in with the meetup organizer, they will have the clipboard! There is free street parking in the area. Or better yet, come by MAX as the venue is just on block from the N Killingsworth Street station.
The start time for our Global Travel Social is flexible - turn up when you can and leave when you want. The location for our socials changes each month. We rotate from north, south, east & west. Most meetups are in Portland, but we also meet in Tigard, Vancouver, and elsewhere. If this month's location doesn't work for you, check the calendar and see where we will be next month.
Photos taken at the event may be used by Shyla & Dan Bare, or Wild Spirit Travel, in social media, websites, or print. They may promote future meetups, travel talks/classes, or general Wild Spirit Travel activities. By attending the event, you give consent to be in photos.
