#### Moon Mysteries and Owl Calling Night Hike
Walk by the light of the moon and explore the nocturnal landscape within a Wilderness Preserve at The Wilderness Institute as we observe the nighttime sounds and call out to Owls in hopes of a response. As the moon rises, we will pause to utilize a telescope to view the near full moon as it divulges its mysteries!
We will end the walk gathered around a warm campfire over hot drinks to share stories of past adventures, wildlife encounters, and maybe roast a marshmallow or two (S’mores anyone?).
An overnight camping option is available for an additional on-site fee.

#### Archery, Spears, and Tomahawks
Archery has a long history as useful skill for battle, hunting, and as an individual sport and is still very popular today.
Join this fun and engaging class with the Wilderness Institute to learn the basics of traditional target archery using recurved bows and have you hitting bullseyes in no time!
Extra time is available for you to also try your hand at other throwing sports. Hunting Spears and Javelins have an even longer history of use by our ancestors, and traditional Tomahawks are known by their use by mountain men during the fur trade and by native peoples. Both tools are easy to learn how to throw, and it is a fun activity.
Students will receive expert instruction and an archery manual with lots of practice time and a bit of fun competition! Light refreshments will be served.
