Heritage Week: Getting to know Native Wildflowers
Noble trees and fairy steeds - our wildflowers are steeped in stories. Once protected under law, our wildflowers are now lost underfoot, forgotten. Hear those stories as you learn to ID our native flora. As part of Heritage Week join us as we explore the wilder side of our urban world with a guided walk in St. Anne's Park. We'll show you how to identify our native wildflowers, their story and if they're tasty, how to eat them. Anyone is welcome to join. We will meet at the Red Stables at 3pm for a relaxed walk. Please wear comfortable shoes and dress for the Irish summer. Kids are welcome on our walks (they go free) but please keep an eye on them as we admire the plants. See you there, Mies and Molly The small print: Charge for this meetup is €5.00 to be paid on the day. Please wear appropriate footwear, and wear appropriate clothing. This walk is mainly on paths and some forest paths. Please wear boots. Anyone taking part does so at their own risk. Eating plants on this walk or on subsequent adventures is at your own risk. Wrongly identifying plants on subsequent walks is done at your own risk. Please consult guidebooks where appropriate Also see https://www.heritageweek.ie/whats-on/event/getting-to-know-native-wildflowers
