Wildflower Walks Ireland at the St. Anne's Rose Festival

Red Stables, St Anne's Park

Wildflower walks are delighted to announce that we will be working at the Rose Festival this Sunday. We will hold a series of walks aimed at making people more aware of the biodiversity under their feet and what they can do to help our native flora. A weed is often described as a flower in the wrong place. This Sunday we will be teaching people the value of these forgotten flowers. As Ireland's biodiversity disappears at an alarming rate, what can be done to sustain it? St. Anne's park have created a wildflower meadow, that will help our struggling pollinators. We’ll talk about what flowers are in theirs, how to identify them and the human story behind our prettiest weeds. We will as always be talking about Ireland's biodiversity and what can and is being done to save it and answer any questions you may have. Walks are free of charge and start from the Information tent at 12noon and 3pm. We'll also be in the Biodiversity area all day Saturday and Sunday to answer any questions you might have.
