    Description: : A two loop walk thru pristine forests along theAlsea River with its many waterfalls to walk along. After having done either orboth loops you may walk down a short trail to the Alsea Falls and listen to thecascading water over the rock surface as it flows down stream. Bring as picniclunch after the walk in the day use area. Restrooms are available at the start.walkers should bring their own water. All walkers are required to sign waiversprior to walking. All leash and cleanup laws apply. Challenges for this walkwill be provided at the start.

    Description: Willamette was a mill town during WWII. The old part of town is on the Historic Register. The main street of town has become a trendy restaurant community. One of the town monuments is a large meteorite in Front of the Fire Station on Willamette Falls Blvd between 12th Ave and 13th Ave. The walk is mostly in neighborhoods and city parks. The description above applies to both routes. The Summer route has one long hill and one section with stairs, rated 2B.

    Driving directions: I-205 take 10th St exit. S turn left, N turn right on 10th St. Go up the hill and turn right on Willamette Falls Drive. Left on 12th St to its end at Volpp. Because of bridgework in Oregon City, there may be traffic delays in exiting I-205.

    Because of crowds we do not recommend pets. Free Parkingis on the street but because this is in a Monday thru Friday working area, there has been plenty of free parking available to walkers on Saturday morning.

    Comments: Because of the change in the Rose Festival Parade Route this walk will have an added 5 km loop along with the 2 loops that have been held in the past. LOOP #1 crosses Hawthorne Bridge past Dragon Boat Races, Rose Festival City Fair, thru Saturday market, then return back to the start by crossing the Burnside Bridge LOOP #2 will go towards the Lloyd Center using 12th Ave going past the old Benson High School to Lloyd Blvd where the parade will pass. The walk then will return across the new pedestrian bridge.

    There will be a group walk for 5 and 10 km Walkers starting at 10:15.

    Description: Both 6/10K routes go downtown following waterway paths to the Riverfront with carousel; veterans' memorials, State Capitol area and Willamette Univ. also visited. There is an additional 1K option for Rails to Trails on the 10K.

    Driving directions: Salem Hospital, Bldg A (ER), 890 Oak St SE, Salem. I-5, exit 253, go to Salem City Center. Follow Mission passing 12th Street traffic light to next traffic light. Right on Capitol. Free garage parking on levels 1-3. Meet in the lounge to the left of the front entrance.

Across from main entrance to Village Green (on right), turn left onto Jim Wright Way, then left onto Village Drive toward Middlefield Village. Pro Shop on left at west end of parking lot. Open dawn to dusk: closed Christmas. Ask for Volkswalk box. Directions for short drive to start point are with the walk directions.

    Description: This walk traverses the small community of Depoe Bay. The 10k route does the three loops: a forested trail loop and two coastal residential loops on bluffs providing beautiful views of the Pacific Ocean. The 5k is the forest trail rated 2C (2B option). The 6k focuses on the two coastal loops. All loops include downtown. Walking poles are suggested. Walk includes the World's Smallest Harbor.

    Cascade Locks - Quilt Walk, 5 (rated 1A) /10 (rated 2A, sponsored by CRVC

    Description: Walk to and through Marine Park, passing the Visitor Center and the Sacajawea statue, to and on Thunder Island. Back through Marine Park and into the town of Cascade Locks passing some buildings with quilt murals on them.The Airport Challenge is available on the 10k route only.

    There will not be any arrows or ribbons on either route. Also there will not be a scheduled group walk or a leader. Instructions only will be provided. There will not be a checkpoint. Walkers are advised if they bring a dog with them to be sure they are on a leash.

    Driving directions:Corner of Wa Na Pa St and School Road will be the start location area, using the parking lot or on street parking. Take I-84 East to Exit 44 and follow Wa Na Pa St to the start location.I-84 West to Exit 44 and continue as above.

    Description: A short but demanding walk along well established trails, including some wooden and stone stair cases, along with a couple of wood foot bridges with great viewpoints of the several waterfalls with in the park. A great way to spend a spring day, and enjoy a picnic lunch at the picnic area along the river. Pets are welcome all leash and cleanup laws apply. walkers must sign waivers prior to walking.

    Driving directions: 43170 McDowell Creek Drive, Lebanon O RMcDowell Creek County Park. Drive South on Hwy. 20 from Lebanon drive about 6 miles. stay in left lane and turn LEFT just after Brown colored McDowell Creek Park sign, cross tracks then Right onto Fairview drive. Veer LEFT at next intersection onto McDowell Creek Drive. Continue for about 12.5 mile to a right into the parking area.
