We are hosting our first meet-up of 2016 after the launch of WinOps in 2015.
It will be hosted by HP Enterprise at their offices in Central London.

7:00 - 7:30pm - Arne Luhrs, Sr. System Architect, HPE IT
DevOps can greatly accelerate velocity and efficiency. The challenge is how best to transform a large-scale enterprise with established processes and systems. During this session, we’ll examine Hewlett Packard Enterprise IT’s enterprise-scale DevOps practice and assess the validity of some commonly held DevOps beliefs, based on HPE IT’s experience.
7:30 -8:15pm - Andy Burgin - Senior DevOps Engineer at Sky Betting and Gaming.
Andy Burgin currently is a Lead Devops Engineer within the Data tribe at Sky Betting and Gaming, he has a range of skills from development, infrastructure, operations, project management and has worked in the "digital" industry in Leeds since 1994. Andy is the founder of the LeedsDevOps group which been running for 2 years and is attracting large crowds and speakers from a range of local and national DevOps players. He's recently presented an ignite at DevOpsDays Paris.
The talk comprises of two parts, in the first Andy traces the roots of DevOps back to 2008 and discuss its evolution into an approach to make the make the SDLC more productive and less painful. He'll look at definitions of CAMS, LEAN and how team structure plays an important part in DevOps success. The second part of the talk explains how these practices have been applied at Sky Betting and Gaming, sharing what worked and what didn't on the road to DevOps adoption.
We will also be heading to a local pub afterwards for those who like a late beer for networking! :-)
