Our March meetup will be hosted by Bloomberg at their Finsbury Square office in Moorgate on Monday 20th March! This will be our first time at Bloomberg's offices and we are really excited to hear about how they do DevOps here. We'll have 2 talks on the night followed by beer and food provided by Bloomberg.
6:30pm - Arrival and drinks
6:50pm - Welcome talk
7:00pm - Emily Rigby - Software Developer at Bloomberg
Topic: Bloomberg TRM does Dev Ops
Traditionally Bloomberg has dedicated (separate) teams for the dev ops role, Windows development is not widely used and understanding of the challenges and practices of WinOps is not universal. I will cover how dev ops was introduced to our team and how it becomes an ever more important part of how we approach new development. I will also discuss applying dev ops principles retroactively to a code base not designed with this in mind and the difficulties faced.
7:20pm - Andy Chaa (https://www.linkedin.com/in/andrewchaa/) - Senior Software Engineer at GSA Capital - @andrewchaa
