Meet other local kayakers and those interested in paddling (kayaks, canoes, SUPs).  Beginners welcome, focus is on easier trips - there are many beautiful ponds, lakes and slow rivers in the Sebago Lakes Region to explore!

***PLEASE NOTE*** Any member of this meetup may organize a paddle meetup using this page. The organizers in this group are NOT trained leaders or instructors.  The organizers only set the time and place; each person participating in any group trip is responsible for their own safety.  Each participant is responsible for evaluating all relevant conditions for the trip and determining if their skills and equipment are appropriate for those conditions.  Each participant is responsible for following Maine laws and regulations and conducting himself/herself in a safe manner.

Maine law requires that an approved PFD must be in your boat for each person in the boat; and when paddling between sunset and sunrise, a lantern, headlamp or flashlight showing a white light must “be at the ready” and be exhibited in time to prevent a collision.

Paddlers should always be aware of ever-changing weather conditions and make appropriate decisions regarding one's safety.

We advise that each person participating in an event bring a spare set of clothes in a waterproof bag, as well as water, snack, sunscreen and insect repellent.  A hat or visor and sunglasses are advisable for early evening paddles when the sun is low in the sky.

For renting a kayak contact Sebago Trails Paddling directly at (207)894-4696 or  Special rate for this group are $20.00 includes boat, paddle, PFD and delivery to the launch site.

Trip cancellations will be e-mailed and posting removed at least two hours before trip start time.
