Dev - Visual Studio vNext For The Phone Developer

Abstract: With the upcoming release of the WIndows 8 Beta and App Store preview, now is a great time to start leveraging your skills as a Windows Phone developer and start building great apps for the tablet market.
In this talk we'll be taking a lap around some of the upcoming changes in Visual Studio 11, and cover examples of converting existing Windows Phone apps into Windows 8 Metro applications.

Bio: Robert Palmer is a senior ALM consultant with InCycle Software, based in NYC. Robert has over fifteen years of progressive experience in software development, architecture, and design. He has an extensive background in Microsoft technologies and has served in various roles, from Application Developer through CTO. He is passionate about agile methodologies and best practices, including TDD/BDD and agile project management.
