What we're about

We're a diverse group of people who would rather be out in the garden than just about anywhere else in the world. We became an official club in 2009 and we've been growing ever since. We're all about having fun while gardening, learning, and making the Town of Windsor, California, a great place to live. We're open to garden, outdoors, landscaping, nature and flower lovers from nearby towns too!

Club members are a mix of retirees from a variety of professions and still-working folks -- from horticulture professors to accountants to landscape designers to nurses to artists. To find out more about us you can visit our website at: windsorgardenclub.org

We meet the third Tuesday of every month at 6:30 p.m. in the Community Room at the Windsor Senior Center, 9231 Foxwood Drive, Windsor, CA, 95492, and our meetings feature presentations from local garden experts. Admission is always free.

We're also a non-profit organization that raises funds for an annual SRJC scholarship for local students as well as community projects. Our biggest and most visible is the Town Green Community Garden in Windsor, which we manage on behalf of the city.

Town Green Community Garden Work Morning

Windsor Town Green Community Garden

Come on down to hang out with gardeners and put in a half hour or hour of garden work -- whatever you can spare - to help keep the Town Green Community Garden one of the jewels in Windsor's Downtown Crown! Windsor Town Green Community Garden plot renters are required to put in 6 hours per year of volunteer time maintaining the common areas of the garden to keep it looking beautiful. The Second Saturday of the month is work party morning for the community garden. If you're a plot renter, be sure to log your work time in the notebook at the kiosk. Check in with TGCG group leaders in the garden to see what jobs need to be done. Bring water, garden gloves, and your favorite garden tools to help weed, prune, sweep, compost ~ whatever jobs you can help with. It's a great way to meet your fellow gardeners. And bring a friend! Windsor Garden Club manages the Town Green Community Garden on behalf of the Town of Windsor, and WGC members and friends are always welcome. Food, Fun & Garden Speakers

Community Room, Windsor Senior Center

The Windsor Garden Club hosts free presentations by garden, flower, landscape and environmental speakers on the Second Monday of every month. Our speaker and workshop events feature food, beverages, a bit of social time, and the main speaker. The evenings end with the Best Little Raffle in Sonoma County. Tickets are $1 and a table full of prizes from local floral shops, bookstores, gardens, galleries and hand-crafted items are awarded until they're all gone. It's a short five-minute fundraiser for the club, a non-profit organization. Watch the Windsor Garden Club website (and this Meetup) for specific details on monthly speakers and topics as they become available. http://www.windsorgardenclub.org/news
