Beautiful two-day paddle along the Suwannee River Wilderness Trail with camping at Holton Creek River Camp. Saturday's paddle will be 9.3 miles. We have reserved 2 screened platforms to share for Saturday night or you can bring a tent. Saturday night we can eat together (hot dogs to grill provided) but all other meals will be on your own so be prepared with snacks, 2 lunches, breakfast, drinks and all camping equipment and anything else you need. There are hot showers, restrooms, and potable water at Holton Creek; but, there are no stores, so bring everything you need for a 2 day trip. Be prepared for hot weather and bring mosquito repellant. Sunday's paddle will be 13.2 miles to the takeout at Suwannee River State Park, Fla. where our vehicles will be waiting. Please be at the put in before 9 a.m. to unload kayaks and gear. We will shuttle our vehicles to SRSP, an outfitter will drive us back to Suwannee Springs at a cost of $10.00 each, this includes a tip, is non-refundable and must be pre-paid so we will have an exact count for the outfitter; more details about how to pay will be posted later. Also, the state park charges $5.35 a day to leave your vehicles in a secure area and everyone is responsible for this. Exact change will be helpful in case we have to use self-pay envelopes.
