Boomerang Race from Georgia to Florida

A fun filled day of racing or leisurely paddling on an idyllic blackwater river. Plenty of water to paddle, no deadfalls, plus shoals! Racers will paddle down the Withlacoochee River from Georgia three miles into Florida, and back upstream. Paddle distances are 6, 4 or 2 miles; these are round trip routes with a turnaround at 3, 2 or 1 mile markers. Canoeists, kayakers, and paddle boarders of all ages and skills are welcome to register starting at 9 AM, with the race to begin at 11 AM. Leisure paddlers are also welcome to attend. There will be prizes, and food, and drink.
Tickets are on sale, $20 online until October 15, then $30 at the event.
