Morris Home Donation Drive Launch Party
Details
We're holding a donation drive all April for Morris Home! On April 2nd, we'll have a Launch Party for the Donation Drive where the residents will be joining us. We'll have fun, get to know each other & forge connections for our on-going work with this shelter! This is potluck-style so consider bringing a dish or (non-alcoholic)beverage for offering to the event! Flyers to come, make sure to share it with your networks.
Donations
They need both men and women's clothes as they have both transmen and transwomen residents of this shelter. About Morris HomeMorris Home supports trans and gender variant individuals as they develop the knowledge, skills and supports necessary to promote sobriety, manage emotional and behavioral difficulties, choose and maintain safe and healthy lifestyles, and develop healthy relationships with peers, family and the community. Morris Home provides a safe, recovery-oriented environment for individuals in transition from one gender to another, or those with other gender variants who may be coming from “the streets” and/or from shelter programs.
Morris Home is named for Nizah Morris, a transgender woman who was allegedly murdered in Philadelphia in 2002.
