Ladies,

If you love adventure, the outdoors, or global traveling/trekking, then you found a new place to be. This is an all women group that will focus on trips/treks/outdoor adventures that will cater only to women so as to provide a comfortable space for female camaraderie. Our events will range from day hikes, wilderness weekend backpacking trips, overseas trekking, traveling, camping, yoga retreats, marathons, long walks, rock climbing, kayaking, stand up paddle boarding, and all other forms of movement that will create and and maintain an active & healthy lifestyle for each of us ...and all ideally done in the ever welcoming atmosphere of the outdoors.

My social enterprise, Peak Explorations, which markets trekking adventures to solo hikers, also focuses on women empowerment and promoting women's presence in the great outdoors. As such, this is open to all women from diverse backgrounds & various levels of skills when it comes to hiking or backpacking. Our calendar will have regular Backpacking 101 courses to motivate those who are new to hiking/backpacking/traveling to venture out locally and beyond. This is a safe place for all members to be themselves and to enjoy their time away from the hustle and bustle of city life. Join us and experience life as it happens on the move!

To connect women nationwide to the outdoors and for a diversity of women to connect on the mountain trails, Women Explorers on the Move has chapters launched in various locations in the U.S.

Trekking Peru's Huayhuash (co-ed)

Needs a location

Huayhuash is world-class, no doubt. Glacier peaks of Cordillera Blanca surround you with stunning landscapes and lakes everywhere you look. This is a lesser known trekking destination that we wish to stay out of the radar because the beauty is spectacular and we want to selfishly enjoy the scenery without the typical tourist crowd. With that said, you're in for a major treat as we trek for 10 days in this so-called Peruvian Alps. Discover the other side of Peru where the sky meets the numerous snow-capped peaks of the Cordillera Blanca. A true gem for a Peak Explorer! Here's the biggest perk: When you join us, you are supporting our mission to make the trekking tourism industry inclusive of women as guides. This trek will be led by a local female guide (a rare occurrence) and I will also be your trip leader for a back to back all women empowerment experience; hence, normalizing the women's roles and status in the industry. Trekking the Classic Inca Trail (9 days) (CO-ED)

Needs a location

One of the top treks in the world for good reasons! But our trek is one of a kind as we support female porters in a male dominated industry. Along with our local partner, we are creating a much needed change in the industry to finally include women and the indigenous community. As a classic trek, you get to experience Machupicchu first-hand at sunrise as you trek on the Classic Inca Trail over 4 days. The trek allows you to camp in the wilderness with the support of an experienced guide and a team of cook and porters in the gorgeous Andes mountains. A soak in the hot spring of Aguas Caliente awaits you at the end of your trek. You also spend time walking in the old part of Lima and visit the beautiful town of Cusco and the Sacred Valley. In the process, you will create lasting memories with new friends. These are all the reasons why this experience remains a classic while supporting our women empowerment work.
