You’ve built a successful consulting business. Your expertise, reputation and relationships have blessed you with a healthy income, loyal clients and a strong personal brand. But, inevitably, the time will come--perhaps sooner, perhaps later--when you are ready to turn the page on this chapter of your professional life.

Let’s talk about how to build the vital foundation required to ensure that your business is ready to sell when you are ready to exit.

About the Presenter
Erin Austin is a consultant and lawyer who combines her 25+ years of practicing law, including roles as COO and general counsel at IP-driven companies, to help the founders of expertise-based firms build and protect saleable assets so that the business is ready to sell when the founder is ready to exit. Erin’s special talent is finding the “Rembrandt in the Attic”--that hidden or overlooked asset that can be leveraged for maximum value.

There have been huge changes to LinkedIn over the past year – both in appearance and functionality. LinkedIn is still a great opportunity for small business owners and consultants to grow relationships and business opportunities but if you had a great profile a couple of years ago, you may not be taking advantage of the latest changes. If your profile wasn’t looking good a couple of years ago, there’s no better time than the present. And if you’re still posting content in the same way, you need to reconsider how you’re doing it.

Key takeaways:
* Opportunities to showcase your business
* Changes to make to your posting activities for greater visibility – what LI is currently promoting
* NEW features to consider taking advantage of: Featured section, Cover story, Name pronunciation, Providing Services, etc.
