Join us for a spooktacular ride as we ride to a Mexican restaurant for lunch. Rumors are that a a ghost is occasionally encountered there. We will make several stops along the way and hear stories of the ghostly lore. Those wanting to dress in your bike friendly costume are encouraged - please ensure it is safe to ride, no visual or movement restrictions and wind proof! Meet up at QT with a full tank of gas. Distance to lunch is about 40 miles. We will visit other local haunts getting us back in the afternoon before sunset and cooler temps arrive. Please remember COVID safety precautions, face coverings and social distancing please.
Join us for a colorful ride through the forests on our way to lunch to Pie Slingers Pizzeria in Rock Spring, GA . "This is an open ride - bring along a friend, spouse, brother or sister!" They have their own delicious dough recipe and unique atmosphere. Hand tossed and baked in an old fashioned soapstone deck oven - known for the place where Pies Fly. (They have salads and wings for the non pie eaters). The route will be approx. 95 miles from our meetup spot and will be a non expressway, back roads meander taking in some Autumn beauty. A stop approx. halfway is planned for hydration, stretch, take layers off, or possibly add layers on! As a reminder - out of respect for all members, please wear a facial covering during the morning meet & greets, safety brief, and throughout the ride when social distancing cannot be maintained. For those of you we have not yet met - great opportunity to come on out! KSU at 11 AM after safety briefing.
Save the Date! The Summer International event has been confirmed. The event will be in Front Royal, VA next to the Shenandoah National Park, Skyline Drive and the Blue Ridge Parkway. Host hotel will be the Holiday Inn & Suites, Blueridge Shadows at $119/night. More details to follow. This will be a "ride to" event, approximately 650 miles those planning to ride anticipate we will leave the day before, Wednesday 14th with return back to GA on Monday the 19th. Overnight stops and fabulous route TBD.
